NOTICE TO ARCHITECTS / ENGINEERS
The University of Utah (U Facilities) is soliciting the services of qualified firms/individuals to perform design services for the following project:
Project Name: HCI L4 Lab and Breakroom Remodel

Project Description:
This project involves upgrading the interior of the existing research laboratory, support rooms, hallway and stairwell, as well as the breakroom on Level 4 of the Huntsman Cancer Institute North Building, which covers an area of approximately 20,000 square feet. It includes c-cure on lab doors, new paint, temporary removal of laboratory equipment, replacement of laboratory furniture, workbenches, casework, sinks, countertops, flooring, lighting upgrade, repairs to ceiling tiles, updates to electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems. The project will be completed in two phases to allow part of the lab to remain operational during construction.
Construction Budget: $3,476,595.00
The selection shall be under the Value Based Selection method. The Solicitation for A/E Services documents, including the proposal requirements and the selection criteria and Project Schedule, will be available at 9:00 AM on July 21, 2025 on the BidNet Direct website. A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Meeting and Site Visit will be held at 9:00 AM on August 4, 2025 at
HCI Research North – Main Lobby, located at 2000 Circle of Hope Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84112. All design firms wishing to submit on this project must attend this meeting.
*Proposal dates for the required references, management plans, statements of qualifications, and interviews will be based on the Project Schedule included in the Solicitation for A/E Services.
