The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to enter into a contract with a qualified vendor to obtain IT professional services for the University of Utah, hereafter referred to as the "University". The companies submitting proposals in response to this RFP will hereafter be referred to as “Vendor”. The University is examining several alternatives of providing this service and may decide, after reviewing proposals submitted, not to enter into any agreement.
Looking for experienced IT professionals to assist and augment existing University IT teams, with an emphasis on database administration services.
Requesting professional IT consulting and technical services for database administration from a qualified vendor. Vendor may also provide professional consulting and technical services for other IT Infrastructure Services as defined in section 3.03 on a “as requested by the customer” basis. Services necessary are business resilience, including the ability to manage and monitor systems to prevent unnecessary downtime and outages, and assistance with building high availability resulting in reduction of downtime. The service required includes the expertise to support “follow the sun” 24x7x365 availability model. The number of hours and scope of support must be scalable to meet planned and unexpected increased or decreased service demands such as emergencies, natural disasters, or health pandemics, etc.
Specific technologies shall not be constrained due to a dynamically changing IT industry. We are seeking a Vendor who can be flexible and evolve with the University’s IT environments. Nevertheless, we are specifying a list of currently implemented technologies below to provide the prospective vendor insight into the University’s existing IT needs.
