Summary of Specifications:
This Request for Proposal (RFP) documents San Antonio Independent School District’s (SAISD) requirements for a "Web-based Learning System of High School Courses.” This RFP is for a three year contract with two one-year renewal options. This system must provide all credit courses required for Texas High School Graduation. Renewal will be based on the vendor’s ability to meet the implementation guidelines and product specifications that support grade 7-12 educational environments. K-12 References are requested from customers for whom the vendor has demonstrated this ability in grade 7-12 educational institutions for delivery, installation, implementation and outstanding support service, both technical and in the form of professional development throughout the contract period. Unlimited teacher access and 735 students licenses. Please specify if system expected to be fully integrated at classroom, campus and District level. How many teachers/students/campuses anticipated to utilize the system? This RFP will serve as a basis to evaluate alternatives for a "Web-based Learning System of High School Courses.” The learning system should include a full cadre of high courses required to meet graduation criteria and receive a high school diploma and included a collection of high quality, higher cognitive level, standards-based assessment items designed for formative and benchmark assessments in grades 7-12 in all core subjects: Reading, Language Arts (Revising and Editing), English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies and high school electives. All items should be aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. This RFP should allow the vendor flexibility in proposing the most appropriate and cost-effective system. The District will evaluate all responses on the Scope of Work for a Credit Recovery/Credit Acceleration Learning and Management System designed with Texas High School courses required to graduate from a Texas High School. Vendors must agree to and adhere to all items in the SAISD RFP. The selected vendors will agree to a process for change requests during the life of the contract. Any costs associated with providing these services must be included in the cost of the product being offered. In addition, a modified scope of work may be developed specifically for customization of products required by District initiatives.
