Summary of Specifications:
The San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) is seeking to acquire an Emergency Notification System (ENS) with a vendor that provides a Fully Hosted Web-based service with no hardware, software or phone lines to maintain. Proposer shall provide services via mass notification in both critical catastrophic emergencies and non-emergency situations. This ENS System will be capable of delivering voice and text messages to Parents, District Staff and Administrators within minutes. It will be designed to locate system users in seconds – whether at work, home, or elsewhere – via all major communication devices, such as landline phone, wireless phone, fax, ISP-based email, BlackBerry (wireless email), pager, PDS, and in as many formats as possible (voice, text, SMS). The system will continue to make contacts until a confirmation receipt is sent to school administrators.
This RFP is intended to provide a standard base from which to evaluate alternatives for an Emergency Notification System and to allow the proposer flexibility in proposing the most appropriate and cost-effective system. The acceptance of a proposal does not obligate SAISD to purchase a system from any proposer. SAISD reserves the right to reject all proposals and not make an award. All costs for proposal preparation are the responsibility of the proposer. After receipt of the proposal, and prior to signing the contract, SAISD reserves the right to modify the system requirements by adding or deleting features or modules.
