Summary of Specifications:
BexarMet (hereinafter known as “BexarMet” or “District”) is seeking to contract with one or more Contractors to provide Water Well Parts and Repair Services on an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity basis. BexarMet has 222 well sites, reservoirs and booster station sites and storm water pump stations situated throughout the service areas that provide drinking water to residential and commercial customers. These apparatuses are in areas of Bexar County, parts of Atascosa, Medina and Comal counties and in constant operations twenty-four (24) hours, 7 days per week. Breakages occur from time to time creating minimal to no water flow to the more than 92,000 residential and commercial accounts. Problems occurring to this equipment must be repaired on an emergency basis upon discovery of the malfunction by BexarMet personnel. In majority of these problems, the repairs are beyond BexarMet capabilities and must be allocated to outside sources. BexarMet intends to contract one or more Contractor(s) to provide these repairs on an “as needed” or “on call” basis for the work stated with each work order. Successful contractor(s) will ensure that they comply with all published rules and regulations from the AWWA and TCEQ agencies in performance of this IFB.
