INTRODUCTION
Hartsville/Trousdale County Government (the "County) is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to perform improvements to the existing asphalt walking trail in the County park complex. The work generally includes milling the existing asphalt surface, widening the trail, installing new base stone, and placing a new asphalt surface course.
The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project in accordance with this RFP, except where materials or services are explicitly identified as being provided by the County.

PROJECT LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
The project consists of improvements to an existing asphalt walking trail located within County park complex at Marlene and Main Street in Hartsville, TN. The intent of the project is to improve durability, safety, and accessibility by widening the trail to a total width of ten (10) feet and installing a new asphalt surface over a properly prepared base.

BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Each proposal shall include, at a minimum, the following information:
5.1 Cost Breakdown

A detailed cost breakdown for each of the following components:
1. Milling of existing trail
2. Trail widening and base stone installation
3. Asphalt surface course installation
4. Site clean-up

5.2 Project Schedule

A proposed project timeline, including estimated start and completion dates.
Work shall generally be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise approved by the County.

5.3 Excluded Items
The following items are explicitly excluded from this RFP and shall not be included in the pricing proposal:

Performance or payment bonds
Permits
Unsuitable soils
Import of structural fill material
Erosion control measures
Tree removal
Rock excavation
Any other items identified as excluded in the original project documentation
