Description

Horry County Construction and Maintenance Department located at 307 Smith St, Conway, SC 29526 is seeking Quotes from qualified bidders to provide all materials and labor to install automated slide gate operators. Gate Operators will be installed at 332 Hinson Drive, Myrtle Beach SC 29577.

2 High Traffic Commercial Sliding Gate Operator systems, See SECTION 32 31 11 – GATE OPERATORS included with this document.

Liability Coverage

The successful bidder shall provide proof of all required insurance(s), including workers’
compensation, automobile liability, and general liability. Workers’ Compensation shall include a minimum limit of $100,000 per accident. Commercial General Liability coverage shall provide minimum limits of liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence. This shall include coverage for premises/operations, products/completed operations, contractual liability, and independent contractors. Commercial Auto Liability shall include a minimum limit of $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage for vehicles used in premises/operations. Professional Liability insurance shall be provided with minimum liability limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence (in addition to Commercial General Liability insurance) by professional services such as accountant, attorney, architect, design, engineering and most consultants that involve errors and omissions exposure protection. Horry County shall be named as an Additional Insured on all General Liability policies and expressed on the Certificate of Liability Insurance.
Certificate Holder for Certificate of Insurance must be: Horry County, Attention: Risk Management, P.O. 997 Conway, SC 29528. Insurance shall indemnify County against any and all claims arising under or as a result of the performance of the contract resulting from this solicitation. The County must be provided written notice prior to cancellation, modification, or reduction in limits of any stipulated insurance. It is the responsibility of the vendor/contractor to ensure all subcontractors comply with all insurance requirements of this solicitation and the resulting contract

  1. Installer Qualifications: Firm specializing in work of this Section, with minimum 2 years’ experience.
3. WARRANTY
  1. Manufacturer’s 5-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects.

      3. Monitored retro-reflective photo eyes.
      4. Monitored small profile wired safety edge.

      2. Plug-in loop detector. Loop to allow free exit

3 EXECUTION
1. INSTALLATION
  1. Install in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Supply and install all brackets and chain required
  3. Provide all parts and pieces required for two fully operational automatic gate systems – (Gates and rollers by others)
  4. Coat all welded or bare metal parts with cold galvanizing compound as required to prevent corrosion.
  5. 120v Power provided by others
2. CLOSEOUT ACTIVITIES
  1. Test and adjust operators for proper operation.
  2. Demonstration: Demonstrate operation and programming of operators to Owner.
  3. Provide all warranty documentation, O&M Manuals, etc.
