Each Job Order issued under the Job Order Contract (JOC) awarded from this solicitation will include a Detailed Scope of Work. The anticipated work for each Job Order may include:
The anticipated scope of work for this on-call JOC Railroad Signals, Overhead Catenary and Trackwork Construction Services Contract consists primarily of, but is not limited to, railroad signal systems, traffic/ rail signal pre-emption, train to wayside communications, overhead catenary system wiring, grade crossing warning devices, special trackwork and switch gear wiring, and traction power substation wiring. Trackwork construction improvements may include main continuous welded rail (CWR) track rehabilitation and/ or replacement, grade crossings (pre-cast concrete panels, rubber panels, asphalt paving with rubber rail interface) special track work, direct fixation, overhead catenary system work, traction power, and related general civil construction improvements located in or near the railroad right of way.
Work may include all incidental professional and technical services required for quality control monitoring and testing, shop drawings, safety, environmental, scheduling, traffic control, storm water pollution prevention, geotechnical, surveying, biological, and hazardous/contaminated materials for projects at locations throughout San Diego County for
SANDAG and its member agencies, Caltrans, MTS, and NCTD. Work may be within or near the railroad right of way including, but not limited to right of way reserved for the Metropolitan Transit System San Diego Trolley (MTS), North County Transit District (NCTD) SPRINTER and COASTER trains, Amtrak, and BNSF freight trains. Contractors performing work within the MTS or NCTD right of way require right of way permit approval from MTS or NCTD.
