The unit Is a 12'X20' trailer-able structure designed to simulate a pitched roof, which is common among many residential buildings within the city. It allows firefighters to become familiar with maneuvering on sloped surfaces and provides the opportunity to perform actual ventilation cuts on removable and replaceable plywood panels-closely replicating real flreground conditions. The prop enables the safe and effective practice of pitched roof ventilation techniques without the need for acquired structures, which are often difficult to secure and present various safety hazards. This purchase will significantly enhance both the availability and safety of roof ventilation training opportunities for the department.
