The Middletown Public Schools ('MPS') Capital Improvement Program (the 'Program') shall
transform the Middletown Public Schools into 21st century learning facilities for the educational
community for generations to come. A portion of the program includes the demolition of Gaudet
Middle School following the construction of a new Middle High School. The new Middle High
School will be located on the current Gaudet Middle School site located at 1113 Aquidneck Avenue,
Middletown, RI 02842. There are also interior renovations planned to the existing Middletown High
School located at 130 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842 and Forest Avenue Elementary School
located at 315 Forest Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842; as well as general maintenance, health and
safety and select education enhancements to Aquidneck Elementary School located at 70 Reservoir
Road, Middletown, RI 02842. This RFP is specific to the New Middle High School and demolition of
the existing Gaudet Middle School only.
