The scope of work for this package is the purchase and installation of a 4-stop Otis Gen3 Edge elevator system, or equal in accordance with drawings and specifications entitled “Renovations to the Walley School – MPA Elevator Package”, by Brewster Thornton Architects dated 1/12/24 (Sheets SKA-1, A1.0, A1.1, and A1.2), included with this BID package. The elevator shaft will be installed by others. Coordination with the on-call contractor and electrical contractor currently working in the building is required.

The elevator and installation is for the renovation to the historic Walley School building, located at 260 High Street, Bristol, RI 02809. This former school building is being renovated and converted to a senior center and community center. This building is a major contributor to a National Historic District and careful attention should be given to protecting and preserving all elements of this building according to the documents. Periodic reviews by the RI State Historic Preservation and Heritage Commission and Local Historic District Commission will be performed. And in accordance with the specification contained herein.
