Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is soliciting Statement of Qualifications for special inspections services for the new Center for Public Safety. The Center for Public Safety project consists of the construction of a 95,000 square foot two-story building that will house the Police Department, Fire Administration, 911 Call Center, and Fire Station #1 to include all site work, general construction, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work. The project will also include the realignment of Court Street, installation of a new traffic signal, demolition of the existing two-story Police and Fire Department building, and renovation of a one-story accessory building. Construction is expected to commence in July 2012 and be complete within 750 calendar days.
This Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is limited to special inspections only. The City of Jacksonville will be soliciting a Request for Proposals for material testing services.
All Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) should be in a marked envelope entitled “Request for Qualifications – Special Inspections for the Center for Public Safety”. SOQ are to be returned to the Public Services Department by 5:00 PM on July 19, 2012 at the Public Services Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
