The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for The Kerr Street Tennis Courts Replacement Project located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: The Kerr Street Tennis Courts Replacement Project comprises the construction of two new tennis courts and their related appurtenances as well as demolition of the existing tennis courts. The project is located adjacent to the Kerr Street Recreation Center at 36 Kerr Street in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The project consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition of the existing tennis courts; including the asphalt surface, sub base, nets, fencing and sidewalks and the construction of new sub base, asphalt surface, playing surface, nets, fencing, drainage system and sidewalks. The work includes all equipment, labor, material, and services required for the replacement of the Kerr Street Tennis Courts as described in the project specifications and on the supplied plans.
All bids are to be returned to Jim Higgins by 4:00 PM on April 30, 2009 at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 10:00 AM on April 16, 2009 in Meeting Room A and B at Jacksonville City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC. The meeting will be immediately followed by a site visit.
BID BOND: Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid.
LICENSURE: BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A Business Privilege License is required to engage in business in the City of Jacksonville.
