The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for Rails to Trails Connection located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: Work includes connecting three missing sections of existing bike trail at a section parallel to Marine Boulevard (Highway 17) and at the traffic light intersection of Bell Fork Road and Highway 17 in Jacksonville, NC. Work to be performed is construction/continuation of two-hundred fifty-two linear feet of 10-ft wide existing bike trail which includes the grading and installation of a 4” aggregate base course and 2” asphaltic surface course. It also includes 3-ft shoulders, grading to the existing surfaces and the accompanying drainage swale and 6-in pipe works.
All bids are to be returned to Deanna Young by 5:00 pm on March 1, 2011 at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
