The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for THE PUMP STATION AND WELL HOUSE ROOF AND DOOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
The Pump Station and Well House Roof and Door Replacement Project includes door, membrane roof system replacements specific to individual facilities and work requiring asbestos removal. The project involves 19 facilities at locations throughout the Jacksonville, NC area. The project consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of doors, membrane roof systems and asbestos abatement. The work includes all equipment, labor, material, and services required for the Pump Station and Well House Roof and Door Replacement Project as described in the supplied technical specifications and contract documents.
All bids are to be returned to Jim Higgins by 4:00 PM on May 22, 2009 at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Engineering Division, at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled on May 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Johnson Boulevard Conference Room at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC. The meeting will be immediately followed by a site visit.
BID BOND: Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid.
LICENSURE: BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A Business Privilege License is required to engage in business in the City of Jacksonville.
