Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of the Parkwood Area Stormwater Improvements will be received, by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, at Meeting Room A, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 11:30 AM Eastern Standard Time on June 22, 2010, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists of replacing parts of the stormwater infrastructure in the Parkwood Subdivision in the City of Jacksonville that can no longer convey stormwater flows without overtopping. The Work includes any adjustments to water and sanitary sewer utilities that arise during the course of the stormwater infrastructure work. Work to be performed under this Contract related to replacing parts of the stormwater infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, materials and labor for installing RCP piping ranging in size between 18-inch and 48-inch diameter and installing RC box culvert sized 5’ x 2’. Included, but not limited to, are all manholes, connections to existing piping, repaving streets, reconstructing curb & gutter, sidewalk and driveways, demolitions, abandonment of pipelines, and all other work required to complete the Work.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting at City Hall, Meeting Room A, on June 1, 2010 at 10:00 AM immediately followed by a site visit.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
