Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of the Water System Improvements – Phase II Wellhouse Construction will be received, by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, at Meeting Room A, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on May 6, 2009 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The project consists of the construction of 8 different water supply wellhouses; each to include the building and appurtenances, setting of production pumps and column pipe, piping and appurtenances, equipment, electrical, controls, valves, yard piping and connections, site grading, roads, building, landscaping, and fencing. Bids will be received on single prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis. The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting at City Hall, Meeting Room A, on April 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by a site visit. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
