Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of the Ellis Park Subdivision Infrastructure Improvements will be received, by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, at Meeting Room A, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 3:30 pm Eastern Standard Time on September 30, 2010 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists of the installation of sewer pipe, manholes, Storz adapters on fire hydrants, pavement reclamation and regarding of a drainage ditch. The project also includes all necessary demolition, abandonment of existing lines, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, sediment and erosion control procedures, traffic control and all other work required to complete the project.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540 for the non-refundable amount of $55.00 for each set. Payment for documents must be received by the Engineering Division and shall be made payable to the City of Jacksonville. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Checks for documents shall be made payable to the City of Jacksonville. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting at City Hall, Meeting Room A, on September 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm immediately followed by a site visit.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner’s best interest.
