The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for The Dogwood Lane – Jarmen Street Water Line Replacement Project located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: The Dogwood Lane – Jarman Street Water Line Replacement Project includes work related to replacement of water system infrastructure along Dogwood Lane between River Street and Davis Street and along Jarman Street between Dogwood Lane and Davis Street in Jacksonville, NC. Work to be performed under this Contract is the replacement of water distribution lines including, but is not limited to, materials and labor for installing 6-inch and 8-inch diameter PVC and DIP water pipe, all fire hydrants, valves, connections to existing piping, demolitions and abandonment of pipelines. The project also includes all necessary curb and gutter replacement, sediment and erosion control procedures, traffic control and all other work required to complete the project.
All bids are to be returned to Jim Higgins by 3:00 PM on November 24, 2009 at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for November 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Meeting Room A of City Hall. Immediately following this meeting will be a site visit to the project area.
