Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is soliciting Request for Proposals for Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspection and Backflow Certification for the areas listed herein. The work shall include furnishing all safety equipment, materials, tools, labor, transportation, and supervision necessary for the prosecution and completion of the work.
All proposals should be in a sealed envelope marked as “Request for Proposals – Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspection and Backflow Certification”. Proposals are to be returned to the Facilities Manager by 10:00 AM on January 8, 2009 at the Public Services Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
Bidder shall provide all materials and labor necessary for an annual inspection and backflow certification of Fire Sprinkler Systems at the areas mentioned in Section IV. All work shall be performed in accordance with NFPA 25 (Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems) or NFPA 2001 (Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems) where applicable. Bidder is responsible for making contact with any agency or party that is required to be notified in relation to this annual certification.
This Request for Proposals is for annual inspection only and not for repair and/or upgrades to the system. Bidder must be a licensed fire sprinkler contractor.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
