Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for Emergency Water System Interconnection – Ramsey Road and Carolina Forest Boulevard located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: Work to be performed under this Contract is related to, but not limited to, materials and labor for installing 12-in DIP pipe and 12-in C-900 PVC pipe between the existing 12-in City of Jacksonville water line along Carolina Forest Boulevard and the 18-in ONWASA water line along Ramsey Road (NCSR 1324) in Jacksonville. Included but not limited to fittings, 18-in x 12-in tap, connection to existing piping, demolition, installation of valves, a meter vault, a bore and jack under Ramsey Road (NCSR 1324) and all other work required to complete the work. The project also includes all necessary sediment and erosion control procedures and all other work required to complete the project.
All bids are to be returned to Mr. Gregory K. Meshaw, PE by 5:00 PM on May 3, 2011 at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for April 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Meeting Room A of Jacksonville City Hall, located at 815 New Bridge Street. A site visit will be conducted immediately following this meeting if needed.
BID BOND: Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid.
