Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville Recreation and Parks Department provides the operation and maintenance of multiple Municipal Parks, Ball fields, Recreation buildings, picnic shelters, playgrounds and concession stands throughout the City limits. A centrally located facility for the maintenance and storage of equipment and the housing of limited administrative staff is desired.
The proposed Facility will be located on approximately two and one-half acres of wooded City property along Commons Drive North in the Jacksonville Commons Subdivision adjacent to the 1.5 MG elevated water storage tank currently under construction. The Facility will contain approximately 6,000 square feet with approximately 4,000 square feet for a maintenance garage and secured tool room and approximately 2,000 square feet for two administrative offices, kitchen, meeting room and men’s and women’s restrooms (each with a shower).
The City of Jacksonville is requesting qualifications from Architectural Firms to provide and assist with Design, Engineering, Construction Documents, Cost Analysis, Specifications, and Construction Administration, for the proposed City of Jacksonville Parks Maintenance Facility. The City of Jacksonville reserves the right to reject any and all submittals.
Submittals shall be sealed and labeled on the outside “REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – Architectural Services for Parks Maintenance Facility” and are to be received by the City of Jacksonville Engineering Division by 5:00 p.m., February 11, 2005.
