Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting proposals for the purchase of One (1) Rear Loading Twenty-Five (25) Cubic Yard Refuse Collection Truck.
Description: It is the purpose of the following to describe One (1) Rear Loading Twenty-Five (25) Cubic Yard Refuse Collection Truck. The specifications described are minimum acceptable requirements. The unit shall be of the manufactures current production model, and shall meet or exceed the items of these specifications. The unit shall be the manufactures heaviest duty model available. The manufacture shall guarantee equipment against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year. The vendor shall guarantee that a stock of component parts shall be available at a location convenient to the user. The unit shall be complete and operate upon delivery to the purchaser’s site. For any offer to be considered, all items must be of a standard production model, not modified for bid purposes.
Sealed Proposals will be received, by the City Clerk’s Office of the City of Jacksonville, North Carolina, located at , 815 New Bridge Street, PO Box 128, Jacksonville, NC 28541, until 2:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Jacksonville City Hall, Conference Room A & B. Any proposals received later than the specified time will not be accepted or considered. The sealed proposal must be clearly marked “PROPOSAL FOR ONE (1) REAR LOADING TWENTY-FIVE (25) CUBIC YARD REFUSE COLLECTION TRUCK – BID NO. FY 16-03”. The City of Jacksonville, NC assumes no responsibility for unmarked or incorrectly marked proposals.
The BID DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Fleet Maintenance, located at 350 C South Marine Boulevard, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
