Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for the Softball Fields 3 and 4 Concrete Project in Jacksonville, NC consisting of: All materials and labor required for the installation of concrete pads and sidewalks for Softball Fields 3 and 4 at The Jacksonville Commons. The concrete pads include four 28ft x 15ft, four 30ft x 8ft and two 12ft x 10ft in size. The project also includes 700 lin. ft of 6ft wide sidewalk.
Bids may be mailed or submitted electronically with the Project Name clearly noted on the proposal. Bids submitted by mail are to be sent to Jim Higgins, Public Services, Engineering Division, Jacksonville City Hall, 815 New Bridge St., Jacksonville, NC 28540. All bids must be received by the owner by 10:00 AM on February 26, 2008.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The City of Jacksonville reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A Business Privilege License is required to engage in the business in the City of Jacksonville.
