Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville (Owner) is requesting BIDS for the Jacksonville Commons Restroom Site Work Project in JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, consisting of:
The installation of building pads, water, sewer and electrical service to two sites at The Jacksonville Commons area. One site is located at the Richard Ray Park area and one at the location of the Softball Fields Complex. The pads and utilities will supply service to two prefabricated restroom buildings to be supplied and installed by others. All materials and labor needed are to be supplied by the contractor.
All bids are to be sealed; with the Project Name and the words “BID ENCLOSED” clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, and returned to Jim Higgins, Public Services, Engineering Division, Jacksonville City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540 by 10:00am on January 17, 2008.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained from the offices of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The City of Jacksonville reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
LICENSURE: BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9. A Business Privilege License is required to engage in business in the City of Jacksonville. Bidders must be a licensed general contractor.
