Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting Bids for the installation of new sidewalks on Barn Street, Nottingham Road and University Drive in Jacksonville, NC consisting of: Project consists of materials and labor required to install new sidewalks along portions of Barn Street, Nottingham Road and University Drive. The work includes installation of 4064 ft of 4 ft wide, 4" thick and 28ft of 4ft wide, 6" thick concrete sidewalk, driveway apron, drainage chute, removal of trees, shrubs and other vegetation, coordination of the relocation of utility boxes, posts and transformers, general earthwork and restorative landscaping. All bids are to be sealed; with the Project Name and the words "BID ENCLOSED" clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, and returned to Deanna Young, Public Services, Engineering Division, Jacksonville City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540 by 10AM on July 12, 2007. The contract documents may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Public Services, Engineering Division, Jacksonville City Hall. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
