The City of Jacksonville is currently involved in the administration of a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funded by the NC Division of Emergency Management. During this
project, the City will require services from a North Carolina Licensed Asbestos Inspector. The submitting firm shall provide the local government with asbestos inspection reports required for demolition of approximately sixteen (16) units in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The City anticipates that the Notice to Proceed for the asbestos inspection work outlined in this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued in February 2020. The approved inspector shall perform a full site inspection for asbestos in accordance with all
rules, policies, and procedures of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCHHS), produce an asbestos inspection report in conformance with 15A NCAC 19C.0601-0607, and provide it to the designated Project Manager for the City of Jacksonville.
