Summary of Specifications:
I. Introduction This describes the terms and conditions for grass cutting for Community Development properties bi-monthly for thirteen (13) lots as listed herein. The work shall include furnishing all safety equipment, materials, tools, labor, transportation, permits, and supervision necessary for the prosecution and completion of the work. The City reserves the right to remove or add a lot from the mowing list with an approved change order.
II. Quotes Due All quotes are due on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 4:30 pm. Interested bidders must sign this Request for Quotes and either fax it to (910) 938-6528 or deliver to Ms. Tracy Jackson at the Community Development Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. The City encourages all interested bidders to inspect the project area.
III. Insurance The successful bidder shall provide the City of Jacksonville Certificates of Insurance and endorsements with the following minimum levels of insurance coverage.
The Certificate of Insurance shall include: • Comprehensive General Liability, $500,000.00 Single Limit. • Comprehensive Automobile Liability, $500,000.00 Single Limit
• Workmen’s Compensation Insurance as required by North Carolina Law.
The City of Jacksonville must be listed as an additional insured with respect to General Liability and Automobile Liability policies. Check with your insurance agent. This may involve a cost you want to add to your bid. A valid certificate of insurance must be in place during the life of the purchase order. It is expected that the Contractors shall visit the sites to satisfy themselves of the conditions of the properties. Site visits are strongly encouraged because of survey lot, property lines and addresses are not posted.
