Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for the purchase of a Regenerative Air/Vacuum Street Sweeper located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: It is the purpose of the following to describe Six Wheel Regenerative Air and Vacuum Street Sweeper. The specifications described are minimum acceptable requirements. The unit shall be of the manufactures current production model, and shall meet or exceed the items of these specifications. The unit shall be the manufactures heaviest duty model available. The manufacture shall guarantee equipment against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years. The vendor shall guarantee that a stock of component parts shall be available at a location convenient to the user. The unit shall be complete and operate upon delivery to the purchaser’s site. For any offer to be considered, all items must be of a standard production model, not modified for bid purposes.
All bids must be sealed and marked as “FY09-05A Purchase of a Regenerative Air/Vacuum Street Sweeper”. Bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, at Johnson Blvd Conference Room, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540, until 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on January 16, 2009, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The BID DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Streets Division located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
