Summary of Specifications:
This project is to install a new culvert crossing for the breached section of Dewitt Street. The work will consist of installation of 160 linear feet of 66" reinforced concrete pipe with cast in place endwalls, 70 linear feet of 18" reinforced concrete pipe, catch basins, roadway replacement including subgrade and asphalt, curb and gutter, sidewalk, a waterline replacement, minor utility relocations, landscaping, seeding, and erosion control. Bids will be received on a single prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Bidding documents may be examined at the office of the Owner, Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Copies may be obtained for the non-refundable amount of $50 for each set. The City will conduct a pre-bid meeting at Jacksonville City Hall, on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 2:00PM and may be immediately followed by a site visit. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
