Summary of Specifications:
The project consists of installation of approximately 882 linear feet of sediment fence; installation of approximately 982 linear feet of sediment boom and curtain; approximately 1835 cubic yards of earthwork including: berm, depression, and terrace formation; approximately 962 linear feet of marl rip-rap bivalve structure with oyster shell fill; approximately 1.86 acres of site tilling and preparation, seeding and planting; installation of approximately 19,981 square feet of erosion control blanket and woody vegetation installation. Bids will be received on a single prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Copies may be obatined from the Engineering Division of Public Services, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540 for the non-refundable amount of $50.00 for each set. The City of Jacksonville will conduct a pre-bid meeting on June 18, 2007 at 10AM in the Jacksonville City Hall Engineering Conference Room located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. The meeting will be immediately followed by a site visit. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that bid or bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
