Summary of Specifications:
The City of Jacksonville is requesting BIDS for the Asbestos Removal Project at 102, 104, and 108 Sherwood Road located in Jacksonville, North Carolina:
Description: The Community Development Asbestos Removal Project – 102, 104, and 108 Sherwood Road (three (3) single family structures) includes the removal and disposal of asbestos containing material as identified in the attached reports. The work includes all equipment, labor, material, and services required for the Community Development Asbestos Removal Project – 102, 104, and 108 Sherwood Road as described in the supplied project description, specifications and drawings.
All bids are to be returned to Tracy Jackson by 4:30 p.m. on March 15, 2016 at the Community Development Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Bids can be mailed to Ms. Jackson’s attention at the above address, emailed to Tjackson@jacksonvillenc.gov, or faxed to her at 910-938-6528. Any bid received after the bid due date and time will be considered non-responsive.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the office of Community Development Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
LICENSURE: BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9.
E-VERIFY COMPLIANCE PROVISION: North Carolina General Statute §143-133.3 prohibits the City from entering into contracts with contractors and subcontractors who have not complied with the requirement of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Contactor shall comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Further, if contractor utilizes a subcontractor, contractor shall require the subcontractor to comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
IRAN DIVESTMENT ACT CERTIFICATION: Contractor certifies that, as of the acceptance date of this bid or contract, it is not on the “Final Divestment List” (FDL) or the “Iran Parent and Subsidiary Guidance” (P&S) created by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 143-6A-4. In compliance with the requirements of the Iran Divestment Act and N.C.G.S. §143C-6A-5(b), Contractor shall not utilize in the performance of the contract any subcontractor that is identified on the FDL or the P&S. If at any time Contractor is added to the FDL or the P&S, while under contract with the City of Jacksonville, the City shall have the option to terminate the contract immediately.
WITHDRAWAL OF BID: No Bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date of Bid Opening.
