Summary of Specifications:
Liquid Chlorine Specs Per AWWA Standard B301-92 and ANSI/NSF-60. Liquid chlorine shall be 99.5%pure by volume and shall not contain excessive amounts of Bromine,Nitrogen Tetroxide,Nitrogen Trichloride,Silicon Tetrachloride, Sulfuric Acid. MOISTURE: the moisture content shall not exceed 150 ppm(0.015%)by weight. HEAVY METALS: the sum of all heavy metals shall not exceed 30 ppm(0.003%)expressed as lead(Pb). LEAD: lead shall not exceed 10 ppm(0.001%) expressed as lead (Pb). MERCURY: mercury shall not exceed 1 ppm(0.0001%)expressed as mercury (Hg). ARSENIC: arsenic shall not exceed 3 ppm(0.003%) expressed as metallic arsenic (As). NONVOLATIVE RESIDUE: the total residue shall not exceed 150 ppm(0.0015%)by weight in liquid chlorine as packaged by the manufacture in cylinders or ton containers. CARBON TETRACHLORIDE: carbon tetrachloride (CC14) shall not exceed 100 ppm(0.010%). Testing is not required unless a carbon tetrachloride tail gas scrubbing system is used, or if a diluent for nitrogen trichloride. TRIHALOMETHANES: trihalomethanes shall not exceed 300 ppm(0.030%). DURATION OF CONTRACT: Rates will be in effect July 1, 2004 - June 30, 2005. CONTRACT VALUE: Quantities shown herein are estimates only, used as a guide. In the event of conflict between the individual amounts listed and the approximate quantity, individual amounts will supersede. SHIPPING: there shall be no additional charges for pallets or special shipping requirements. There shall be no deposits on cylinders. Some entities may require weight tickets on bulk deliveries. Empty cylinders are to be picked up at time of delivery. There will be no fuel surcharge allowed.
