The work called for under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, material, and equipment for the prompt repair and/or replacement of certain sewer and water mains owned by the County of Westchester on an emergency basis. Due to the nature of the work, for the duration of the contract the Contractor must be able to respond promptly within six (6) hours after notification as hereinafter provided to make emergency sewer and water main repairs and replacements, throughout any twenty-four (24) hour period, day and night seven (7) days a week including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, and complete the work within a reasonable time period. The term of this contract is for a period of three (3) consecutive years commencing on May 23, 2017 and terminating on May 22, 2020, subject to appropriations. The Contract may be extended by mutual consent of the Contractor and the County of Westchester for one (1) additional three year term, with all prices, terms and conditions remaining the same as the original contract.
