SUFFOLK COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY SUFFOLK COUNTY NEW YORK NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for the painting of the 500,000-gallon Meeting House Road elevated tank, Westhampton Beach, Town of Westhampton, NY, will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, New York 11769, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on November 5, 2015, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Complete details and specifications relating to the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Purchasing Department of the Authority, 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, New York 11769, where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application. A Suffolk County Water Authority Engineer shall meet with prospective Bidders at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, 2015 for a pre-bid meeting. The meeting will be at the Meeting House Road Tank site, located on the west side of Meeting House Road, south of Long Island Railroad and west of Quantuck Creek (225 Old Meeting House Road), Westhampton Beach, Town of Westhampton, NY; further located latitude 40° 59' 51" N and longitude -72° 37' 29" W. It is strongly recommended that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting. Failure to comply with this requirement may be deemed sufficient cause for rejection of proposal. Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid. Minority and Women Owned Businesses are encouraged to bid.
