The Scarsdale Union Free School District (hereinafter the “District”) is issuing this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for the selection of one or more qualified employee health plan advisory/consulting firm(s) to act as the District’s health plan advisor and perform consulting services with respect to the District’s health plans. The District expects such advisory and consulting services to consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, review, analysis, and audits of the District’s current health plans, oversight of any contract renewals related to the health plans, program evaluation and development, assistance with employee communications, interface with Third Party Administrator on all plan aspect and analysis of related legislative and regulatory requirements affecting the health plans. While complying with all applicable laws and regulations, the District is seeking to identify cost inefficiencies in its health plans, develop strategies to reduce their impact, work collaboratively with labor groups to maintain a competitive and affordable health care for employees and the district, and monitor the performance of the health plans with the ultimate goal of creating better and more cost-effective health outcomes and quality of life for covered District employees, dependents, and retirees.
