The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify and select a comprehensive, research-based curriculum for our preschool program serving 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds. The selected curriculum should align with early childhood education best practices and support foundational skills, as well as home language support. The curriculum must include learning based on the following domains: Approaches to Learning, Social and Emotional Development, Communication, Language and Literacy, Cognition and Knowledge of the World (Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Technology) and Physical and Health Development.
Our goal is to implement a curriculum that is engaging, developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive, ensuring that all preschool learners, regardless of background, receive high-quality instruction that prepares them for kindergarten readiness. The chosen program should include professional development opportunities for educators, assessments to monitor student progress, and materials that accommodate diverse learning needs.
In summary, this RFP aims to identify a curriculum that ensures every RCSD scholar enters kindergarten ready to thrive academically, socially, linguistically, and emotionally.
