RFB-5384 - Lightning Protection Repairs

Summary of Specifications:
The Department of Water Environment Protection owns and operates nine (9) sewage treatment plants and thirty-three (33) pumping stations which need remedial lightning protection work. The Contract may also be used by various other County departments when required. The County desires to select a Contractor whom shall be called upon as needed to provide repairs or improvements based upon a unit price proposal. 

The work shall cover repair, replacement or new work for lightning protection system components for use in repair or installation of lightning protection on buildings and structures. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the following. 

1 - Master Label Lightning Protection System UL96A and UL96. 2 - NFPA 780 - Lightning Protection Code - Latest edition thereof. 

Appendix A contains Details Drawings 1 - 7 which are as close as possible to actual information, but general in nature, and does not reflect actual arrangements, and system configuration. Unit prices will be developed for the bid. The drawings also reflect recommended spacing and location of components which shall not be exceeded during remedial work.
