The project consists of renovations to the Sludge Dewatering Building for installation of three gravity belt thickeners and associated equipment for thickening of waste activated sludge and three high solids decanter centrifuges for dewatering of digested sludge, rehabilitation of the Sludge Processing Building for installation of bulk polymer storage and feed equipment, construction of thickened sludge blend tanks with mixers and pump room, and construction of a gas engine generator system for recovery of energy from biogas.
