Summary of Specifications:
THE PURPOSE OF THIS BID IS TO ESTABLISH A PRICE FOR APPLICATION OF PAVERLAID CHIP SEAL/ULTRATHIN HOT MIX ASPHALT HIGHWAY SURFACE PAVING SYSTEM FOR PROCUREMENT BY THE HIGHWAYS AND BRIDGES DEPARTMENT. ULSTER COUNTY WILL CONSIDER TWO OPTIONS; OPTION #1 COOPERATIVE RESURFACING SERVICES WHERE THE CONTRACTOR WILL WORK WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF, AND IN CONJUNCTION WITH, THE WORKFORCE AND EQUIPMENT OF ULSTER COUNTY HIGHWAYS AND BRIDGES. OPTION #2- INDEPENDENT PAVERLAID RESURFACING SERVICES WHERE THE CONTRACTOR WILL PERFORM THE ENTIRE PROJECT OF PAVERLAYING ROADS WITHOUT COUNTY ASSISTANCE.
