RFP-UC19-057 - ELECTRIC TRANSIT BUSES

The purpose of this request for proposal is to establish a price for the purchase of electric transit buses, as needed, over a five-year period by Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT).  The last date to order will be five years from the date of the initial Award.  Current estimated requirements are two (2) 35’ and one (1) 40’ buses to be ordered in 2020 with options for up to seven (7) additional buses to be ordered during the contract period, depending on funding availability. Pricing for any optional purchases will be based on a PPI Index Escalator as specified in the pricing requirements in Section 23.0.

This will be a multi-year procurement contract and all purchases made under this contract are dependent on funding availability. Anticipated requirements are eight (8) thirty-five-foot (35’), two (2) forty-foot (40’) electric, heavy duty transit buses, twelve (12) year, 500,000-mile, Low Floor with kneeling capability, current model year or newer at the time of order.
