Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this bid is to establish a price for the design, plan, and installation of a Copper Silver Ionization System for procurement by Golden Hill Health Care Center. Please see each specific scope of work within each section: Section I – Plumbing, Section II – Water Distribution Pumps, and Section III – Water Treatment. A. The following is a general listing of work items to be provided under this Contract. Work indicated is not necessarily all inclusive, nor shall it limit the extent of the work or exclude any work shown or specified and not listed. B. Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment and labor to make following complete installations. All fittings must be American-made: 1. Temporary water as required for work and that necessary to maintain continuous service to building use and occupants. 2. Schedule “shutdowns” in advance with the Owner. 3. Cutting and patching as required to accomplish the work indicated including painting finish work. 4. Provide and install domestic hot water intra tank circulator pumps at “A”, “C”, and “S” wing hot water storage tanks. 5. Copper / Silver Ionization System at “A”, “C”, and “S” wing hot water storage tanks. Work includes all electrical wiring and electrical components for a complete operational system. 6. Insulation and Identification of piping and valves as required by the specifications but not limited to pipe identification and valve identification for all systems. 7. Testing, start-up and balancing of all plumbing installations to include domestic hot water, domestic cold water, and domestic hot water return systems. Balancing work shall include rebalancing of all existing and new domestic hot water systems. 8. Servicing of plumbing equipment installed as required during guarantee period for a minimum of one year after owners acceptance. Provide competent factory-trained personnel at site for the purpose of instructing Owner's personnel in proper operation and maintenance of all new plumbing equipment.
