 DOWNLOAD THE COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS AND ALL ATTACHMENTS

  1. SCOPE
    1. This solicitation is to remove existing, furnish, supply, deliver, install and start up complete and fully operational a Vertiv/Liebert EXM Model 47SA100JAC000LC as specified or approved equal Uninterruptible Power Supply, as specified, or approved equal at the Rockland County Health Center, 50 Sanatorium Road, Building A, 2nd Floor, Pomona, NY  10970.  The supply unit must come as a complete package (with the batteries).
    2. This bid is comprised of two sections.  Section 1 shall be to remove existing, furnish/supply, deliver, install and start up complete and fully operational the new equipment, as specified.  Section 2 – will be for a Percent Discount from Manufacturers List Price for Vertiv/Liebert or Approved Equal items not individually listed in Section 1.  If not offering a discount, zero percent shall be entered.
      1. Any equipment not as specified and being substituted as an approved equal; shall have all engineering data and catalog sheets submitted with bid.  Failure to provide this information shall deem your bid non-responsive.
      2. Bidders shall respond to both Sections of this bid.  Bidders cannot respond to just Section 2. 
      3. Bids received just for Section 2 shall be determined to be non-responsive and shall be rejected.
    3. All parts not specifically mentioned, which are necessary for the unit to be complete and ready for operation, or which are normally furnished as standard equipment, shall be furnished and installed by an authorized manufacturer's vendor that makes the system complete and operational.  All parts shall conform in strength, quality and workmanship to the accepted standards of the industry.
    4. The bidder shall state the name of three municipalities nearest to the county owning and operating the proposed equipment.  All of the customers must have purchased the equipment within the last five (5) years.
    5. The bidder shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in installation, repair, startup and warranty service work.  The bidder shall be a factory authorized dealer/installer of the brand offered.  Bidder shall have field service personnel to perform the removal of existing unit and installation / start up functions.
    6. Installation, operation, and maintenance shall be performed by Factory Qualified Personnel Only.  A Factory Qualified Person is one that has the skills, knowledge and factory training relating to the construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of the electrical equipment and has received safety training on the hazards involved (Refer to the latest edition of NFPA 70E for additional safety requirements).
    7. The County of Rockland shall provide the Rockland County licensed electrician to disconnect and reconnect all high voltage electrical wiring.  The County shall provide the electrical contractor who will disconnect the existing unit and reconnect the new unit under the installation contractor’s supervision.  The County will verify the wire size during construction.
    8. The existing unit serves the County’s MIS Department.  Power must be maintained to MIS.  Preliminary setup and prep work can be performed during normal work hours.  The removal of the existing unit cannot be done during normal business hours, but must be done from 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday or during the day on Saturday or Sunday.
    9. Freight shall be included in the purchase price of equipment.
