Summary of Specifications:
The County of Rockland Department of General Services (RCDGS), in coordination with the Rockland County Sewer District No. 1 (RCSD) and the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority (RCSWMA) is issuing this Request for Information and Proposals (“RFP”) to solicit proposals for determining the potential for Innovative Solar Energy Development Projects on facilities and/or property owned by the County of Rockland, the Rockland County Sewer District No. 1 and the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority. The parties are seeking information that will help with the evaluation of potential options for the development, procurement and delivery of Innovative Solar Energy Projects. This RFP is intended to obtain information to assist the parties with deciding if such projects are in the best interest of the RCDGS, RCSD and RCSWMA as well as providing details on the financial viability for such proposed projects. The RCDGS, RCSD and RCSWMA retain the right to use the information received from this process to negotiate contracts for such projects, or to use the information for further procurement solicitations. There is no obligation for the RCDGS, RCSD or RCSWMA to enter into any form of contract based on the proposals received in response to this solicitation.
