PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
The Rockland County Department of Social Services (hereinafter referred to as “RCDSS”) is seeking to proposals to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to:
1) provide a software system that will be used for lobby tracking, status tracking, and for kiosk applications for two kiosks in the RCDSS reception area. The successful vendor will provide the customized software system with all of the said applications, install the system on county-owned computer equipment, troubleshoot the system to ensure it is operating properly, provide initial training to County employees or designated contractors, provide and execute regular software updates as they become available, assist the County with creating customized reports, and provide on-going technical support to all software system users and supervisors for the life of the system installation. Specific performance requirements are detailed in this Request for Proposal; and
2) Through this proposal, we are also seeking a qualified firm to provide the hardware for said applications; namely: two kiosks on which the software will also run/operate. One kiosk must be wheelchair accessible.
This RFP is designed to provide interested offerors with sufficient basic information to submit proposals meeting minimum requirements but is not intended to limit a proposal's content or exclude any relevant or essential data. Offerors are at liberty and are encouraged to expand upon the specifications to evidence service capability under any agreement.
Funding for the initial project is provided by a Grant which requires that the project has to be completed by the end of the year.
