NOTICE TO BIDDERS PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Stony Point, New York on or before May 20, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., for the furnishing of all labor and material, tools and equipment required for the satisfactory completion of the project entitled: RESURFACING & ROADWAY RESTORATION PROJECTS FOR 2011 TOWN OF STONY POINT, NEW YORK The work will consist of resurfacing and restoration of various roadways located in Stony Point, New York. Bid documents will be available from the Stony Point Town Clerk, 74 East Main St, Stony Point, NY 10980 commencing May 5, 2011. . All bids must be in the hands of the Town Clerk, Stony Point, New York no later than 10:00 A.M. on May 20, 2011. . Copies of the Contract Documents may be examined and obtained at the Office of the Town Clerk during usual business hours. Contact person – Superintendent of Highways – Larry Brissing at 845-786-2300. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, or bid bond executed by a surety company, in the amount of $5,000, conditioned that if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will enter into a contract for the work, and that he will execute such further security as is required for the faithful performance of the Contract. All bids must meet the requirements of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and all other applicable Federal, State and local statutes. This project is anticipated to be funded by the Town of Stony Point. The proposals will be opened and read aloud by the Town Clerk of the Town of Stony Point on May 20, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. The lowest qualified bidder meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents will be awarded the bid. The Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all portions of the proposal, and to re-advertise for same, should the best interest of the Town thereby be promoted. The Town also reserves the right to reject any proposal that is informal, or waive any informality in the bidding document.
