Description

The County of Rockland is considering the issuance of a Sole Source award to Meals on Wheels Programs and Services for the provision of Adult Day Care Centers, Congregate Meals, Transportation, and the provision of Home Delivered Meals. Multiple contracts may be awarded to Meals on Wheels based on funding sources. Funding amount is contingent on the adoption of the County of Rockland 2017 Annual Budget. As such, the final funding amount may differ from the estimated amount provided in this notice.

This award may be made on a sole source basis in accordance with the Rockland County Procurement Policy.

The contract fills a need for:

Adult Day Care, including transportation and congregate meals for eligible Rockland County residents
Home Delivered Meals for eligible Rockland County residents
Senior Center Program, including transportation and congregate meals for eligible Rockland County residents.
Computer lab used to conduct computer classes for older adults.
Health Promotion, inclusive of programs to increase overall health of older adults.
