Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this RFP is to inform the private sector of a potential business opportunity to provide Imple-mentation Project Management as the County moves forward in its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software Implementation. The County of Rockland is in the final stage of selecting an ERP vendor. The Evaluation Committee will be deciding shortly whether to select SAP or PeopleSoft as their software vendor and move from American Management Software (AMS), which it currently uses. The County of Rockland intends to incorporate the internet/intranet and self-service functions offered by the selected software modules. Project Manager will oversee and interface with the selected software Integrator and Software Project Managers and as specified in the Mandatory Requirements Section. In conjunction with the implementation firm project manager, the Project Manager oversees the design, configuration, testing and post implementation support of the new system. The project manager will serve as the overall leader of the project, with the main tasks including managing, leading and coaching the project team. The project manager will be the spokesperson for the project to the County Executive, the Legislature and the media. The project manager is granted broad authority over all elements of the project: technical, administrative, and managerial.
