RFB-RC-2013-018 - Polymer for Centrifuges

Summary of Specifications:
NOTE - THIS IS A MULTI-STEP RFB SOLICITATION SCOPE Provide a liquid polymer suitable for use with the Rockland County Sewer District # 1 (RCSD#1) existing polymer feed system and centrifuges to dewater its anaerobically digested sewage sludge from approximately 1% solids to 26% solids. The centrifuges are Model No. CA 505, manufactured by Westfalia Separator Inc, Northvale, New Jersey. The sludge is a mixture of primary and Secondary RBC sludge which has been anaerobically digested. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Each bidder shall prequalify by scheduling a Bench and Performance Test of vendor product(s) to determine their ability to meet RCSD#1 specifications. Vendors need to bench test their products before they will be allowed to participate in the performance testing. Vendors wishing to obtain dewatering feed samples from District to bench test their products must submit their request to George Gonos – PHONE: 845-365-6466 no later than 3:30 p.m. After bench testing is completed, performance testing will be conducted at the District's Facility in Orangeburg, NY.
