Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this RFP is to inform the private sector of a potential business opportunity to identify a contractor to enter into an agreement wherein the contractor will partner with the Rockland County Department of Social Services and the Rockland County Child Advocacy Center Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to provide Medical Services, assessments, examinations, evaluations, and opinions in cases where children under the age of 18 are alleged to be victims in physical abuse, sexual abuse and caretaker neglect. The Proposer will be considered the Medical Director of the Child Advocacy Center, and as such, is a member of the MDT, which investigates child abuse allegations and provides services to victims of abuse and their families. Rockland County Department of Social Services (hereafter referred to as RCDSS) is required to obtain medical examinations on both planned and emergency basis of children who are the subject/s of Child Protective Services investigations and/or who are alleged to be neglected, physically and/or sexually abused. This may include children who are possible victims of sexual assault from a person who is not a family member. To build on our Rockland County tradition of excellence, the County Executive through the RCDSS is seeking successful, cost-effective services. The County is seeking proposals from qualified medical professionals/ organizations (hereinafter referred to as Applicant or Proposer) to provide these services for the County.
